Frames are samples
Twelve frames show a 10-second clip well, but fast motion between frames is invisible. Ask for more frames or a shorter section when timing matters.
Claude questions · October 2026
Not directly. Give Claude the frames and the transcript, and it can review a video.
Not directly: Claude’s file uploads take documents and images (JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP), not video or audio, and every Claude model reads only text and images. Claude can still review a video if it gets what the video is made of, a set of frames and a transcript. Creative Claw makes both from inside the chat: extract_frames turns the clip into one timestamped contact sheet and transcribe returns the words with their timings, about 3 credits ($0.03) together for a 10-second clip. In our test, Claude used them to find a repeated phrase at 4.4 seconds in a UGC ad and say where to cut.

Finished example
This is the raw 10-second take of our HALCYO presenter ad. Claude read the 12-frame sheet and the timed transcript and found that she says “and sugar” twice, at 4.4 seconds: the place to cut. The published ad cuts there.
Voiceover script
“Okay, I’m obsessed with this. Halcyo Sparkling Yuzu, zero sugar and sugar, and it tastes like actual citrus. My new afternoon thing.”
| Step | Tool | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| 12-frame timeline | Extract frames | 2 |
| Transcript with word timings | ElevenLabs Scribe | 1 |
| Total for the finished example | 3 ($0.03) | |
Frames extracted on October 18, 2026. The transcript was a cached repeat that day and cost nothing; a first pass of a 10-second clip costs about 1 credit.

The workflow
Add it from Claude’s plugin directory, connect it on the Connectors tab and sign in. On Claude Free, add https://app.creativeclaw.co/mcp as your one custom connector.
Paste a link to the file, a YouTube or TikTok post, or upload it to your Creative Claw library first.
Ask Claude to pull a timeline of 12 frames and transcribe the audio. Both come back with timestamps.
Ask what you need to know: is the hook clear in the first 2 seconds, does any line repeat, is the product visible, where should it be cut.

Practical answers
No. Claude’s uploads accept documents such as PDF, DOCX and CSV and images in JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP. Video and audio files are not supported types.
Not the video itself. With Creative Claw, Claude can transcribe a YouTube video from its captions for 2 credits and review the text; for what is on screen, give it frames.
Not by itself. With Creative Claw it transcribes audio and video with ElevenLabs Scribe, about 44 credits per hour, with word timings and speakers.
Twelve frames cover a 10-second clip well. For a long video, review it in sections, each with its own timeline.
Yes, from the timestamps on the frames and the transcript. Creative Claw can then trim at that point for 2 credits.
Claude Code can run ffmpeg on your computer to pull frames and audio. Creative Claw does the same in the cloud from any Claude app.
Mostly, but names get misheard. Our test wrote “Helsio” for the brand HALCYO, so check names and numbers before using it.
About 3 credits ($0.03) for a 10-second clip: 2 for the frame sheet and about 1 for the transcript. Longer audio is about 44 credits per hour.
