Swap Anyone Into Any Video With Claude or ChatGPT

You see a video and think: that should be me. Now you can make it so. Paste the link into Claude or ChatGPT, say who to swap in, and Creative Claw puts you (or a friend, or any saved Character) into the clip, keeping the original moves, camera, cuts and sound.

How to swap a person in a video

1. Connect Creative Claw. Add it from Claude’s plugin directory or the ChatGPT app directory and sign in. New accounts get 100 free credits. Setup help is on how to connect.
2. Save who goes in. The cleanest results come from a saved Character with a clear face and full head of hair. You can make one from a few photos (clone yourself as an avatar), or just attach reference photos to the chat.
3. Paste the video and say who to replace. Paste a TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or X link, or attach a clip of at least 4 seconds. If more than one person is on screen, say who becomes whom: “the person on the left becomes me, the person on the right becomes Ramzi.”
4. Check the three free previews. Creative Claw finds everyone in the shot, picks three frames and shows the new cast in each one. If something is off, ask for a change to that preview. This step costs nothing.
5. Approve and render. Press Generate video on the card. Seedance 2.5 renders a 480p draft, usually in about two minutes, with the clip’s own audio put back on. If you like the take, render it at 1080p from the same card within 7 days.

The swap in the video is 14.7 seconds long: 419 credits ($4.19) as a 480p draft, with the 1080p render of the same take quoted at 2,318 credits.

Tips for a clean swap

• Pick clips where faces are clear. The swap tracks each person through the clip, and three frames with visible faces make the best previews.
• Name people by position or clothes. “Left” and “right” or “the one in the red jacket” are easier to follow than names.
• Use a reference that shows the whole head. A Character sheet that crops the top of the head can come back with the wrong hair. Fix it in the preview before rendering.
• Decide on clothes. By default your Character arrives in its own outfit. Say “keep the original clothes” if you only want the person changed.
• Draft first. The 480p draft is a real, usable video. Render 1080p only for the take you want to keep.

Limits

• Seedance 2.5 is the swap engine, and it swaps at most 30 seconds. Longer clips are cut to their first 30 seconds.
• The video must be at least 4 seconds long.
• Up to eight Characters or reference photos per swap.
• In Review mode the card waits for you to press Generate video. In Auto mode the render starts once the previews are ready.

Use footage you have the rights to

Only swap videos you are allowed to use, with people who agreed to appear. Don’t use it to impersonate, deceive or harass anyone. For most marketing work that means your own footage, licensed clips or creators you work with.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude or ChatGPT replace a person in a video?

Not on their own, because neither has a video model. With Creative Claw connected, you paste a video link or attach a clip, say who to replace, and the swap_video_characters tool renders the new version with Seedance 2.5.

Can I paste a TikTok, YouTube or Instagram link?

Yes. Social links are not video files, so the assistant first imports the clip into your Creative Claw workspace and then starts the swap from the imported copy. You can also attach a video file directly.

How long can the video be?

At least 4 seconds. A swap covers up to 30 seconds; a longer clip is cut to its first 30 seconds automatically, and the card tells you so.

How much does a character swap cost?

The three image previews are free. A 10-second swap costs 285 credits ($2.85) as a 480p draft, 639 credits at 720p and 1,572 credits at 1080p. A 30-second swap is 853 credits as a draft and 4,716 at 1080p.

Can I swap two people at once?

Does the swap keep the original audio and timing?

Yes. The render keeps the original motion, camera, cuts and timing, and the clip’s own soundtrack is put back on the swapped video.

What if a preview looks wrong?

Ask the assistant to change that preview before you approve, for example to fix the hair or keep the original jacket. Previews are images, so changing one costs nothing; the paid render only starts when you press Generate video.

Is this a face swap?

It is a whole-person swap. The new character takes over the original person’s body, clothes and performance, so by default your Character appears in its own outfit. Ask to keep the original clothes if you only want the person replaced.

Can I use any video I find online?

Only footage you have the right to use, with people who agreed to appear in it. Do not use it to impersonate, deceive or harass a real person.
