How Seedance 2.5 Drafts Work
A Seedance 2.5 draft is a usable 480p video that can include native audio. You can watch it, download it, and stop there. If the shot works but you need more detail, you can render that draft at 1080p later.
Why start with a draft?
Video can look right in a still image and feel wrong once it moves. A draft lets you check the action, camera movement, pacing, references, and audio before paying for a full-resolution render. If the shot needs a different prompt, make that change before spending on 1080p. If 480p is enough for your use, the draft is already yours to download and use.
Drafts are billed at the 480p rate. Rendering a full-resolution version is optional and costs another generation. A draft is a way to make the decision with a real video in hand, not a promise of a faster queue or a free final render.
Your choices after a draft
- Keep it. Download and use the 480p video as it is.
- Request changes. Tell your assistant what to change. This creates a new generation, with its own cost and potentially a different take.
- Generate full resolution. Within seven days, render the same take at 1080p. This is a separate paid job. The original draft stays available, and you can finalize it more than once.
Why this works with Seedance 2.5
Seedance 2.5 supports this workflow natively: the 1080p request points to the completed draft job. It inherits the draft’s prompt, references, duration, aspect ratio, and audio choices. Creative Claw currently offers this linked draft-to-final flow only for Seedance 2.5. Other video models may let you generate at different resolutions, but that does not mean they can turn an approved draft into a related full-resolution render.
The final is a new render of the same take, not a pixel-for-pixel upscale. Identical frames are not guaranteed. Pika’s draft-to-video specification describes what carries over.
How Creative Claw uses drafts
CreativeClaw shows an estimate before each paid generation. In Review mode, a Seedance 2.5 request for 1080p offers a 480p draft first, with an option to skip it and render 1080p directly. In Auto mode, a request for 1080p renders directly. Asking for 480p explicitly creates a draft in either mode. A 720p request starts a new generation rather than finalizing a draft.
