How to Clone Your Avatar with ChatGPT

You can turn a small set of photos and one voice recording into a reusable AI version of yourself in ChatGPT. CreativeClaw calls this a Character: an approved character sheet for visual consistency, plus an optional cloned voice for speech.

This is more useful than generating a one-off avatar. Once saved, the same Character can appear in product photos, social graphics, videos, talking-head clips, and voiceovers.

Step 1: connect CreativeClaw to ChatGPT

Open the apps menu in ChatGPT, search for Creative Claw, enable it, and sign in. Follow the ChatGPT setup guide if you have not connected it before.

Step 2: choose several good reference photos

Upload three to six recent, clear images of yourself. A useful set includes:

• a straight-on portrait
• a three-quarter portrait
• a side profile
• a full-body front view
• an image with a natural smile
• an optional neutral-expression close-up

Use photos with consistent hair, facial hair, and general appearance. Avoid sunglasses, beauty filters, motion blur, extreme wide-angle distortion, and group photos. Plain or varied backgrounds are fine because the finished character sheet will become the main visual anchor.

Attach the images to ChatGPT and ask:

Use Creative Claw to import these photos as references for a reusable Character.
Do not save the Character yet. First generate a clean character sheet that
faithfully matches me.

Step 3: generate the character sheet

Ask ChatGPT for a production-friendly sheet:

Using all the imported reference photos, generate a realistic character sheet
of me on a plain light background. Show a full-body front view, three-quarter
view, side profile, and back view with consistent clothing, proportions,
lighting, face, and hair. No text or labels. Keep my identity natural and do
not beautify or stylize me.

Review the result before saving it. Check the face shape, eye spacing, nose, hairline, skin tone, body proportions, and any distinctive features. If something is wrong, describe the mismatch and regenerate the sheet. The approved sheet, not the scattered source photos, will become the Character’s primary visual reference.

Step 4: record and clone your voice

Record 1 to 2 minutes in your primary language with several natural emotional tones: calm, upbeat, serious, excited, and warm. Use one speaker, a quiet room, and a consistent microphone distance.

Attach the recording, then say:

Upload this recording to CreativeClaw as a private voice-cloning sample.
Clone it with ElevenLabs and attach it to the Character we are creating.
This is my own voice, and I explicitly consent to its processing and cloning
for use in my CreativeClaw workspace.

You may ask for Cartesia instead. CreativeClaw supports both ElevenLabs and Cartesia voice cloning. Only clone your own voice or a speaker who has given explicit, informed permission.

Step 5: save one reusable Character

When both parts are approved, ask ChatGPT:

Save a reusable CreativeClaw Character named "My Digital Twin." Use the
approved character sheet as its visual reference, describe my appearance
accurately, and attach the cloned voice we just created. Then show me the
saved Character details.

The saved Character connects the visual sheet and voice under one reusable identity. ChatGPT can look it up later by name or Character ID.

Step 6: reuse your avatar

Try any of these:

Use my "My Digital Twin" Character to create a realistic founder portrait in
a bright design studio. Keep my face and proportions consistent.

Create a short talking-head product introduction with my saved Character.
Use its reference image and cloned voice. Have me say: [paste script]

Use my Character's cloned voice to narrate this script without generating a
new image: [paste script]

Always name the saved Character when consistency matters. If ChatGPT is unsure which one you mean, ask it to list your CreativeClaw Characters first.
