How to Connect — CreativeClaw

Two ways to install

You need the MCP (tools) and Skills (guides). Pick the path that fits your setup:

Option A

Plugin (includes both)

Install one plugin that bundles the MCP connector and Skills together. Best for Claude Desktop and OpenClaw users.

The plugin handles everything -- no separate MCP setup needed. See the install steps below for your client.

Option B

MCP + Skills

Install the MCP connector for the tools, then add Skills separately. Best for Claude Code users.

1. Add the MCP connector (see below)
2. Install skills:

npx skills add CreativeClawCo/creative-claw-marketplace

Always start with /creativeclaw

After installing, start every new conversation by typing /creativeclaw. This loads the main skill that configures Claude with all the right context, model knowledge, and prompting guides. Without it, Claude has the tools but won't use them optimally.

Install MCP + Skills

First, add the MCP connector for your client. Then install Skills so Claude knows how to use the tools properly.

After installing both, run /creativeclaw at the start of every conversation.

Claude Desktop

Add the MCP Connector

Open the Customize tab

Click Customize in your Claude Desktop sidebar.

Go to Connectors

Click the + next to Connectors, then select Add Custom Connector.

Enter the connector details

Name Creative Claw

URL https://app.creativeclaw.co/mcp

Add and Authenticate

Click Add, then click Authenticate and log in with Gmail.

Skills teach Claude how to use the tools properly

With the MCP connected, add Skills so Claude knows the best models to use, how to prompt them, and how to work with your brand themes. Run this in your terminal:

In Customize, click + next to Personal Plugins, then Add Marketplace.

Find the Creative Claw plugin and click Install.

Authenticate the Connector

Open the Creative Claw plugin, go to its Connectors, and click Install on the Creative Claw connector to authenticate with Gmail.
